The major goals of the seminar are to learn how to do scientific research and to learn and practice presentation techniques. Each student has to prepare a scientific talk about the topic he or she has registered for. The students have to collect the required literature, understand its contents, and prepare a presentation about it that summarizes the topic.

This winter semester, we organize the finding of topics for all seminars of the MSCE module “Communication Systems” separately.

The procedure to register is the following:

- All the students aiming to attend one of the seminars MUST register in TUMonline for only ONE of these seminars.
- The topics for the Seminar on Topics in Signal Processing in the Winter Semester 2017/2018 are available under the following link (there are 8 topics in total):
- The first seminar course (kick-off meeting) will take place on Friday, October 20, at 13:15 in room 0406 (Multimediaraum). During the first seminar, a general presentation of the course will be given. The assignment of the topics will be done during this meeting based on the position in the waiting list and the attendance to the meeting (the attendance is mandatory).
