| Biography: |
Ali El Essaili received his Diploma degree in Computer and Telecommunications Engineering from the Lebanese University in 2004. He pursued his Master of Science studies in Communications Engineering at Technische Universität München and graduated in October 2006. From April 2007 till February 2010, he worked for General Motors where he was responsible for the development of standard protocols and platform-independent software for driver assistance systems.
Since March 2010 he has been a member of the research and teaching staff at the Institute for Media Technology. He is responsible for a DoCoMo project which is concerned with QoE-driven optimization of live media transmission in LTE. His current research interests are in the area of mobile multimedia, quality of experience, multimedia signal processing, scheduling and resource allocation for next generation mobile networks. |
